I am struck with what seems so obvious but is not at all clear: the need to explain to our individual selves what is being done/tried/attempted. What practice is our effort.
I had this conversation with myself last week, only not as clearly with maybe needing a definition I can internalize.
My tomatoes poked from the soil this week. They are eight-plus weeks from living outside!
Stacy, I am sorry to be so slow to respond to this, but look at it this way - your tomatoes are now seven weeks from living outside! The process of defining who we are vis-à-vis our practices is just as slow. A little shoot appears, we recognize it's a tomato, but trying to pull it taller would not give us what we want. That's a job for sunlight and soil and patience. The understanding and naming come right along with the practice.

The sweet potatoes finally sent out sprouts.
Patience is part of the practice, our being a part of what outside offers.
